Lisboa Mistura
Lisboa Mistura is an intercultural space dedicated to knowledge, which welcomes new forms of artistic expression and trends. It showcases different projects from Lisbon’s neighbourhoods, giving visibility to difference and curiosity and making the city a place of inclusion.
9 September
4 pm – Debate Lisboetas and Visibility
Conversation about an inclusive Lisbon: how many people from Lisbon still don't have the visibility they’d like in this city of so many cultures?
5 pm – Intercultural Festival
Performance by groups from different geo-cultural backgrounds who rarely have access to the centre stage.
7 pm – Percussion and Wind Orchestra (D´Improviso Project)
How can improvisation contribute to influence social creativity? Project from five Lisbon neighbourhoods.
8 pm – DJ: A Mãe Dela
How can soundscapes create atmospheres that inspire us to share space better with each other? A Mãe Dela leaves us with some clues in this DJ set.
9 pm – Soweto Kinch
This English musician brings a rare and excellent combination of hip-hop and jazz to Lisboa Mistura.
10.30 pm – Dobet Gnahoré
Singer, dancer, composer and Grammy winner, Gnahoré comes to Lisbon to share her art, inspired by the culture of the Ivory Coast.
10 September
4 pm – Debate Participatory art
How can co-creation and participatory art help artists understand the urgent need to bring communities into Culture which are currently cut off from it?
5 pm – OPA (Oficina Portátil de Artes)
A project that was born through Lisboa Mistura and which continues to show how young people in Lisbon’s neighbourhoods view artistic participation and art.
6.45 pm – JAZZOPA
Spoken word merges with jazz and hip-hop, to create a mixture of styles by young people from different cultural and artistic backgrounds, from the city and its outskirts.
8 pm – DJ: Tiago Pereira
Listen out for the vocals and instruments that carry with them the ancestry and tradition of the whole country, in a DJ set performed by the man behind the project Portuguese music enjoying itself.
9 pm – Criatura
An eclectic band of musicians, artists and people who dedicate themselves to revisiting the people’s memory of the land they inhabit, in a dialogue between tradition and modernity.
10.30 pm – Fogo Fogo
Performance of their new record Fladu Fla or Lusophone-style funaná.
Lisboa Mistura ends with a dance, ready for new mixtures and encounters.
