Cultural Spaces
Breaking the silence for 25 years
In 1995, Lisbon City Council set up a state-owned company known by the acronym EBAHL, whose objective was to revitalise historic neighbourhoods, rehabilitating facilities and developing cultural projects. In 2003, EBAHL changed its name to EGEAC and expanded its activities across the whole city. With a growing number of venues and spaces, EGEAC promotes access to diverse and high-quality cultural services and assets, providing a multidisciplinary, comprehensive, inclusive and democratic programme.
