In the 14th edition of the creative competition promoted by EGEAC, which took place between February 6th and March 5th, thousands of proposals that followed this year’s motto, “scratch and risk!”, were submitted: 1823 authors took the risk.
3582 proposals were submitted (2587 Portuguese and 995 foreign). 315 more sardines than last year, all of them created by foreign competitors.
Once again, the competition captured the imagination all over the world (63 countries), having won over authors of all ages and from all four corners of the globe, with sardines coming from countries such as Ecuador, Ukraine, Nepal, Senegal, and Australia.
Annually, the competition challenges people of all ages, professionals, or amateurs, to test their imagination in creating original sardines, rewarding the five best proposals with a prize worth €1500 (one thousand and five hundred euros).
Now that the application phase has ended, proposals will be assessed and evaluated according to the criteria set out in the competition regulations. Only five of the more than three thousand and five hundred sardines will be awarded.
This year’s big winners will be announced by May 31st.
