The 4th edition of the Aljube Museum-Resistance and Freedom’s Storytelling Competition is now open!
In this 4th edition, we’ll be launching the “Courage today, hugs tomorrow” theme, a message of support shared between women detained by the PIDE during the dictatorship. In the northern redoubt of Caxias prison, they communicated by making sounds on the walls and through whispered words of support and courage.
On the 47th anniversary of the April Revolution, we pay tribute to the memory of the antifascist resistance and their struggle for freedom. At a time when the pandemic limits contact and restricts gatherings, let’s take inspiration from their resistance and resilience and look forward to better days.
