Washing Santo António

Numerous organisations representing Afro-Brazilian culture in Lisbon will be parading through the square, filling the streets with Brazilian beats. At the end of the parade, the steps of the Church of Santo António will be washed, in a tradition that dates back to 1745 at the Church of Nosso Senhor do Bonfim in Bahia.
