Teatro do Bairro Alto (TBA) is dedicated to the creation and presentation of experimental artistic projects, as well as to a reflection on styles, times and spaces.
New and recognised Portuguese and foreign artists from various performing arts areas (theatre, dance, music and sound arts, performance) cross paths at TBA with an audience who is invited to be adventurous and who will want to return.
Located between Rato and Príncipe Real, the Teatro do Bairro Alto was, until 2016, the headquarters of the Teatro da Cornucópia, one of the most important theatrical companies of the second half of the 20th century.
