Christmas Connection
ORQUESTRA ORBIS
Arcangelo Corelli’s Fatto per la Notte di Natale, better known as “The Christmas Concert”, brings us the pleasing sounds of the Baroque’s musical and harmonious dynamics. Romanticism will also feature, with Ave Maria from Giuseppe Verdi’s opera Otello. In a world premiere, the Concerto for Cello and Orchestra by Pedro Teixeira da Silva, is a work of extreme beauty where the cello dialogues with the orchestra. The concert ends with Schubert’s Ave Maria (voice and string orchestra version).
