Parallel Review Lisboa 2021
Parallel Review Lisbon emerged from the need for a space where photography can be analysed, discussed and created. It aims to recognise the importance of image as a contemporary document, but also to promote dialogue between artists, the public and the city. In 2021, Parallel Review Lisbon brings us an exhibition and a day of photography workshops.
From 8 September, there will be a retrospective in the outdoor area of Mercado de Alvalade featuring a selection of artists who have participated in the project since its foundation in 2017: Extended Atlas, curated by Sandra Vieira Jürgens. On Saturday, 11 September, the Tira-Olhos association invites you to slow down and create with and from nature in the gardens of the Museum of Lisbon | Palácio Pimenta, in a day dedicated to alternative processes in photography such as cyanotypes, anthotypes and luminograms.
This will bring to an end another Parallel Review Lisbon cycle, celebrating the artists and curators who take part in this project every year.
