Fado session for Santo António – Christmas Special Edition

Fado session for Santo António every month transforms the Santo António Museum into a true Lisbon fado house.

In this Christmas Special edition, on December 12th, Peu Madureira returns to the Museum to present an exclusive selection of themes alluding to Christmas and the genuine devotion that is sung by the singers.

Peu Madureira was born in Lisbon in 1986. Since childhood he remembers singing fado. In the family evenings, fado was always a companion because his grandmother sang and his mother also. He made his debut at a charity party in Sintra, in the parish of S. Martinho, in 2002, and has since sung in different fado houses, parties, places and countries. In 2007 she traveled to Cape Verde, at the invitation of the First Lady, and in the same year to Sibiu, Romania, to participate in the celebrations of the European Capital of Culture. She participated in the 2018 Song Festival performing a song by Diogo Clemente, "Just for Her". She likes traditional fado and fado singers like Alfredo Marceneiro, Maria Teresa de Noronha, João Ferreira-Rosa, Teresa Tarouca, Teresa Siqueira, José Pracana or João Braga.
