Antiprincesas | Frida Kahlo (reprise)
These are the stories of four inspiring women: Brazilian writer Clarice Lispector; Mexican painter Frida Kahlo; Chilean writer and composer Violeta Parra and the Bolivian military leader of indigenous ancestry Juana Azurduy. In these stories there are no crowns or castles, but real women, who challenged the norm and revolutionised the world through literature, art and politics. To remember these women, these flesh-and-blood heroines, is to show that life isn’t a “fairytale” and that it’s worth fighting for what you believe in.
Frida Kahlo
Far away from here, on the other side of the ocean, is a country called Mexico. Mex-i-co. A long, long time ago, there was a girl who lived there whose name was Frida. Frida Kahlo. Mexico’s greatest painter.
