Arroios Film Festival

Discussing inclusion through the universal language of cinema is the motto of the Arroios Film Festival. Back again with much that is new, it will be showing short films and will also include open-air cinema with lots of other activities going on too.

The festival shows films without preconceptions, covering the beliefs, politics and cultures which are representative of the cultural diversity to be found in the area where it is held. From South Korea to the Philippines, taking in the cinematography from such far-flung countries as India, Iran, the United States, Brazil and South Africa, 38 films will be competing in the festival’s second year in three categories: fiction, animation and documentary.
