Abril em Flor

On the night of 24 April in Terreiro do Paço, we’ll be awaiting that first clear, clean day. Vitorino will bring us Abril em Flor, a show commissioned and produced by Lisbon Municipal Council and EGEAC. There will be songs of hope and songs from the period of resistance to the dictatorship. The stage will be shared by various artists: performing live will be Mafalda Veiga, Márcia, Luís Trigacheiro, Zeca Medeiros and Cantadeiras e Cantadores do Redondo, while Aldina Duarte, Capicua, Carlão and Tim will join us by video to inspire us with the poetry of Manuel Alegre, Sophia de Mello Breyner, Jonas Negalha and Ruy Belo. António Jorge Gonçalves will use a few photographs to create a world of live drawing projected onto the stage during the show, which will be accompanied by musicians Sérgio Costa, Rui Alves, Carlos Salomé, Paulo Jorge and Guilherme Duque, conducted by Tomás Pimentel.
