April at Castelo de S. Jorge

Fazer do Castelo, Abril (Turning the Castle into April)

14, 21, 25 and 28 April, 10am-12pm

For 50 years, carnations have not only been flowers, but also symbols of freedom, unity, and justice. Throughout the month of April, visitors to the Castelo de São Jorge will be invited to join a handicraft workshop and make a paper carnation, leaving a message of freedom with it. Together, these carnations will make up a large mural celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of 25 April.
