On 25 April, 1974, Celeste Martins Caeiro was walking in the streets of Lisbon with a bunch of carnations in her hand. Celeste wasn't a florist, nor a flower producer; she didn't even have a garden. Yet, she planted a sea of red carnations that sprouted from the barrels of the guns carried by the soldiers involved in the revolution in Largo do Carmo. Eighteen thousand two hundred and fifty days later, Filipe Pereira draws inspiration from Celeste's carnations and brings a performance of Dance and Freedom to LU.CA.
