Who were Salgueiro Maia, Vítor Alves, António de Spínola and Francisco da Costa Gomes? This April, the Lisbon Municipal Council will use its social networks to tell the story of the protagonists of the revolution of 25 April, 1974, represented in Lisbon’s toponymy.

Its message can simultaneously awaken an enormous sense of internal unease or wake up an entire country. In the freest month of the year, we have invited singer-songwriter Francisca Cortesão to create a playlist that has the shape and sound of an revolution still to be enacted.
