Fausto is one of those men who’s excused (by the nature of his art and the reach of the songs he carefully designs, sculpts and clothes) from living under the dictatorship of the “obligatorily ephemeral”, a variant of the “politically correct” which assails us on a daily basis. What’s more, in the age of videos, video clips, global TV, advertising, quick and deadly slogans, headlines and bytes, light-hearted haste as a lifestyle, it’s healthy and remarkable that there’s still someone who provides us with another type of reflection and pleasure. One who’s able to reassure us that the images sold to us as real are nowhere near as valuable as those suggested to us by Art. Or by Arts, if we think about it, because Fausto’s songs are cinematic; they tackle challenging scenarios, they stand out like photographs or enormous frescoes.

Listening to Fausto is always a pleasure and a surprise as his concerts (like his work) are in constant renewal. In this show, Fausto will be combining songs of yesterday and of today as only he knows how.
