Festa do Japão

The Festival of Japan returns to Belém and this year its central theme is Tanabata, a centuries-old Japanese tradition based on the story of the forbidden romance between the weaver-princess Orihime (Vega) and the cowherd Hikoboshi (Altair). Over the course of a day, traditional and pop Japanese culture will be celebrated through martial arts demonstrations, Taiko (traditional Japanese drums), Cosplay and Japanese music, without forgetting the culinary delights of the Land of the Rising Sun.
