Finisterra | Festas cá em casa

A project of perfinst (performance and installation) based on the novel Finisterra by Carlos de Oliveira. The book tells the story of the end of a house and a lineage. Still, it shatters time and is also, in the words of literary critic Manuel Gusmão, a "representation of representations" obsessed with "a series of artefacts". This makes it especially apt for a piece by Karnart, as we are somewhere between the collection of objects (an installation) and what is left of fiction (a performance). This is another way to read the book's subtitle: Landscape and Settlement.
