Iberian Radical Left – International Conference
In the 1970s, when the Iberian dictatorships had ended, the constellation of small organisations which were positioned to the left of the communist parties united the minds and desires of a generation arising from the post-war years, during the Cold War, and from the development of capitalism and the consumer society.
The fall of the Iberian dictatorships led them to reorganise and grow, thereby allowing them to contribute to a degree which has been historically devalued. This conference aims to reassess, from a comparative perspective, their role in the process of democratic transition.
