Lisbon Under Stars

The ruins of the Convento do Carmo will be the screen for a video mapping that will explore more than 600 years of Lisbon’s and Portugal’s history. The great events featured are narrated by Catarina Furtado and accompanied by some of the most important pieces of Portuguese music. There will also be special performances by Mariza, Rão Kyao, Teresa Salgueiro, Coro de Câmara Lisboa Cantat, Orquestra de Câmara da GNR and Tocá Rufar with Paulo Marinho. Their music will form part of this virtual experience as will the dancers choreographed by Clara Andermatt, as they interact with the walls of the Ruins. The show will also include work by artists Add Fuel, Daniel Eime, The Super Van and Alexandre Farto aka Vhils, which will serve to contextualise the Lisbon of today.
