SOLO Fest
With only one person on stage, SOLO Fest is a moment of intimacy between the artist and the audience. This year, under artistic director Alcides Nascimento, there will be four performances featuring contemporary circus, dance and music.
Free admission, subject to venue capacity. Ticket collection on the day from 19:00 at the Castle Ticket Office (maximum of 2 per person).

JourneyMan is a surreal, unconscious and improbable being who decides to make this new journey real, conscious and probable, in between parallel paths, balanced in disequilibrium, in three-dimensional universes and with an [im]probable spirit.

This Cape Verdean musician with an unmistakable voice will bring us the rhythms we have become accustomed to at SOLO Fest, where Brazilian and African popular music intersect with more traditional sounds, jazz, blues, rock, literature, anthropology and cinema.

Noite Alta Marta Jardim (Dance)
Contemporary solo dance performance inspired by the fluency of Clarice Lispector’s emotive, sensorial and energetic writing in Água Viva. Gestures, intentions and actions are challenged to discover a performative poetics in this wandering journey through existence.
Sarah McCoy (Music)
The American singer and songwriter, one of the most flamboyant figures in alternative music with a voice often compared to Billie Holiday, Nina Simone and Amy Winehouse, returns to Portugal for an intimate piano concert.
