Strange recent days of an unhappy time

The Atelier-Museu Júlio Pomar is now hosting the curated exhibition that won the Atelier-Museu Júlio Pomar/EGEAC Prize in 2016, in the second year of the award: ‘Strange recent days of an unhappy time’, curated by Hugo Dinis. One of the works displayed is ‘O Almoço do Trolha’ by Júlio Pomar, an iconic work of Portuguese neo-realism, which the artist started during his imprisonment in the Forte de Caxias and finished once he had been freed. It was classified by the Portuguese state in 2016.
