Trezena to Saint Anthony
On the spot where Fernando de Bulhões is said to have been born, this museum was created in 1962 to house two collections donated to Lisbon City Council. Today it is a branch of the Museu de Lisboa and its permanent exhibition includes paintings, sculpture, engravings and other iconography related to Saint Anthony, of differing provenance and age. Every year, the museum organises a special programme of events in
honour of Saint Anthony.

TRONOS DE SANTO ANTÓNIO (SAINT ANTHONY’S THRONES)
The Saint Anthony’s Thrones street exhibition came about from a challenge that the Museu de Lisboa - Santo António set the people of Lisbon. They were asked to create and set up a throne somewhere in Lisbon and then share its location, so that the Museum could create a tour itinerary to be made available online. This form of cultural expression has deeps links to Lisbon and the concept of neighbourhood cultural identity. The Saint Anthony’s Thrones street exhibition brings a very special dash of colour to the city.
