The final theme of the GUITARS FOR AMÁLIA film-concert produced by the Museu do Fado closed the (online) conference at the European Parliament on 22 February.
In partnership with this Museum, the Portuguese parliament presented “Amália” by Frederico Valério, interpreted by 100 musicians of different generations, in a concert recorded at the City Hall’s monumental staircase as part of the Portuguese presidency of the Council of the European Union. GUITARS FOR AMÁLIA was produced by Lisbon City Hall and the Museu do Fado, specifically for the Opening of the Official Commemorations of Amália Rodrigues’ Centenary.
It was broadcast on the Parliamentary website of the Portuguese presidency of the Council of the European Union and on the digital version of ARTV.
