The centenary celebrations of Carlos Paredes’ birth will inspire the first edition of the Portuguese Guitar Festival. Bringing together dozens of musicians from across generations and exploring diverse approaches to the Portuguese guitar, this annual festival will honour the modern, timeless, and universal legacy of Carlos Paredes.
Over two days (7 and 8 March), a programme of concerts, discussions, and workshops will gather together musicians of different ages and musical styles at Teatro Capitólio, Teatro Variedades, and Cinema São Jorge, all united in celebrating this genius of the Portuguese guitar.
