On 12 April, EGEAC was present at the 1st International Congress on Visual Disability, organised by ACAPO, Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired of Portugal, held at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon
The congress had the theme of ‘Inclusive Society + Responsible Participation = Full Citizenship’, related to Visual Disability and addressed current policies discussed by various national and international experts in each of their areas.
EGEAC participated in this Congress, in the Parallel Session ‘Culture’ where it discussed ‘Accessibility as a strategic axis’. The example of the São Luiz Theatre, namely regarding the sessions with audio-description was also presented in this panel.
