It’s our goal to encourage people in Portugal and abroad to participate in this annual competition which rewards the originality of sardine-shaped graphic designs.
Designs can be digital or three dimensional, and all materials and techniques are allowed (collage, painting, sculpture). Just be sure to keep within the sardine outline template, as per the conditions for participating in the contest.
With new creations or recreations of old designs filed away in a drawer somewhere, we challenge you to (re)invent “fresh” sardines: Make, Remake and Submit is the theme for the fifteenth edition of this competition which is aimed at everyone, irrespective of age or nationality. Both individual and joint submission are welcome.
Originality, creativity, legibility, and adaptability to different communication materials will be decisive factors in choosing this year’s five winning sardine designs. Each will receive a prize of €1500.
Candidates can submit a maximum of three designs. For submissions to be eligible, they must not contain anything allowing the identification of their designer, nor any references to brands, events or logos.
The competition begins tomorrow and all you need to enter the race is three words: Make, Remake and Submit!
