Jazz at the Cinema São Jorge

Two nights of music organised by the Hot Clube de Portugal, celebrating the vitality and diversity of contemporary Portuguese jazz. A series of four concerts, varied in style, unconstrained and original, in a country that learnt fifty-two years ago that freedom can also be expressed on stage.

A vocal group led by Mariana Dionísio, one of the most interesting figures of the new generation. A project that explores the possibilities of the collective voice, combining contemporary composition and improvisation.

Ricardo Toscano Trio

An internationally renowned saxophonist, Toscano and his trio create musical narratives of rare intensity, in which structural precision and improvisational freedom coexist organically.

Trevo
24^th, 7pm
A project led by Maria João Leite, a young saxophonist and singer who has established herself as one of the most interesting vocalists of her generation.

Mário Laginha
24^th, 9pm
One of Portugal’s most distinctive and influential musicians, crossing musical boundaries with rare inspiration and depth, Laginha presents his latest album, Retorno, in a solo piano format.
