Observing the structure of a poem is a valuable exercise for gaining a deeper understanding of it.
And practising writing poems helps us better grasp the reasons behind the song and magic of poetry.
The challenges in this workshop are designed to encourage thought-provoking experiments by “playing” with poems by Pessoa or one of his heteronyms.
Some activities can be done individually, but all are more engaging when carried out as a group, whether at school or at home, bringing together different generations.

What is a scriptorium? In the Middle Ages lies the origin of this enigma and it is this discovery that we pursue in the workshop. Related to the art of making books at that time, we learn what the scriptorium was and how it was used by the scribe-monks. Using various materials and instruments, we talk about how the first books were made, comparing them with those of today. How different were they?
