Plastic Artists

“Plastic Artists – Shops with History” project decorates the window displays of Lisbon’s traditional and historic shops with contemporary art. Launched in 2021 and developed by EGEAC in partnership with Lisbon City Council’s “Shops with History” project, this initiative set out to revive the city following the pandemic and draw attention to the city’s heritage and past as well as promoting local commerce and artistic activity. The artists’ and shopkeepers’ receptiveness and appreciation made last year’s initiative a real success.As a result, this once-experimental project will now become a regular feature on EGEAC’s public space programme.
