Festas de Lisboa The opening concert of Festas de Lisboa'18 kicked off with the iconic music that John Williams composed for the Star Wars saga and performed by Tchaikovsky, Lopes-Graça and Bernstein. Dozens of sardines swam to the Millennium Gallery and are waiting for your visit! The free entry exhibition "Save the Sardine" awaits you at number 96, Rua Augusta, from 10am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday. Once a year, the Lisbon Popular Marches turn Avenida da Liberdade into a stage for music, dance and tradition. Remember some moments of this Tuesday's parade. Thank you to all the participants who keep the Lisbon marches alive! Carlos do Carmo invited Antonio Serrano to a Fado night at Castelo, in a concert that is worth remembering. At the second Fado no Castelo concert this year, the fado singer invited musician Filipe Cunha Monteiro (from the Tomara project) to perform with her. The show, which covered Carminho's various albums, ended in a festive atmosphere. Camané's voice and Laurent Filipe's trumpet created a memorable concert in another Fado night at Castelo. Four days of music, indoors and outdoors. In its seventh edition, the Coros de Verão Festival opened with Beethoven at the Centro Cultural de Belém, enchanted the public in the open air in Belém and inside the Museu de Marinha, and closed in beauty in the setting of the Jerónimos Monastery. In 1994, photojournalist Bruno Portela recorded what was found in the place where years later Expo'98 was inaugurated and which today we know as Parque das Nações. Around it, he found refineries, neighborhoods with precarious construction, scrap metal... The exhibition "You (Not) Are Here" recovers these images and contextualizes them in seven centers located throughout Parque das Nações. Open until September 30, there are also three guided visits to the exhibition planned, always on the first Sunday of each month, with an appointment scheduled for 10.30 am next to the first nucleus, in Torre Galp. It really was a unique night, one of those to keep in your memory. Gilberto Gil, Mayra Andrade, Mestrinho, Chiara Civello, among others, took thousands of people to the Jardim da Torre de Belém for a show that closed a month of Festivities in Lisbon!
