On Thursday evenings, musicians from the Hot Clube de Portugal play jazz on the terrace of Casa Fernando Pessoa. Curated by Bruno Santos, they bring with them different styles, instruments and stories.
Admission is free (subject to capacity) and the concerts last about an hour.
On July 3, Sara Lilu (vocals) and Romeu Tristão (double bass) will perform classic American jazz themes with great complicity.
On July 10, Bruno Pernadas (guitar) and José Soares (saxophone) will perform in concert. The program includes original songs by Bruno Pernadas, as well as folk and contemporary music and works by Bach, always with jazz and improvisation as a base.
On July 17, Sofia Nunes (vocals) and Sílvia Ferreira (piano) will meet again to celebrate what unites them: jazz, improvisation as a space for freedom and a love of words. They met at the Luiz Villas-Boas Jazz School (Hot Clube de Portugal) and have been building a strong musical bond ever since.
On July 24, Madalena Caldeira (vocals) and Mateus Saldanha (guitar) travel through American jazz and Broadway songs.
On July 31, the trio Vasco Pereira (saxophone), Alice San Payo (double bass) and Gonçalo Nunes (drums) will explore a varied repertoire, taking advantage of the reduced format to discover new ways of doing it.
