Gulbenkian Choir and Orchestra and Fernando Pereira & The New Age Band on the same day.
Following the postponement of the initiatives planned in public spaces, organized by EGEAC-Lisboa Cultura, in the wake of the tragic accident at the Ascensor da Glória, the opening of the Festas na Rua will take place next Sunday, the 7th, bringing together two major shows on the same day.
With around 150 musicians, including choir members and instrumentalists, the Gulbenkian Choir and Orchestra are the first to take the stage, presenting a repertoire of works that marked great moments in cinema and major pieces by Verdi, Wagner, and Johann Strauss II. This special concert conducted by maestro Pedro Neves begins at 6:30 p.m.
Starting at 9:00 p.m., Fernando Pereira & The New Age Band will do a show that goes far beyond music, combining performance, humor, dance, poetry, and imagery. A unique show that revisits four decades of the “master of voices” career and features numerous guests, such as Polish soprano Patrycja Gabrel, among other surprises.
