For five days, the physical distance between Lisbon and Macau will be reduced, in a fusion of ancestral traditions and innovation. From dance to gastronomy, as well as music and technology, we’ll be celebrating the cultural richness and diversity of two lands geographically distant, but united by history, exchange and dialogue. Performing right next to the Tagus river will be Márcio Furtado, Don Fran, Born to Fail, Inês Coito (from the Gebalis Young Neighbourhood Talents programme), Fado singers and young artists from Macau, with traditional Lion Dances. The opening session on 17 September (from 9pm) will also feature a performance by Cuca Roseta and a drone and firework display over the Tagus.
