Atelier-Museu Júlio Pomar

The Atelier-Museu is housed in a property that was acquired by Lisbon City Hall and it has been adapted according to a design by Álvaro Siza Vieira. The place is dedicated to the conservation and dissemination of the work of Júlio Pomar, an inescapable modern and contemporary artist. It provides critical reflection and debate on the arts and culture.

The exhibition programme includes partial exhibitions of the collection, drawing anthologies, illustrations for literary works and decorative arts that also include exhibitions of other artists, in a dialogue with the space and with his work.

The Atelier-Museu runs a specific series of educational actions and ancillary services, such as guided tours, workshops and experimental exercises, taking into account the content of the exhibition and different audiences.
