Proibido Por Inconveniente - Censorship Materials in the EPHEMERA Archive is an exhibition curated by historian José Pacheco Pereira and curated by Júlia Leitão de Barros and Carlos Simões Nuno, which brings together – including books, newspapers, records, reports, bulletins and magazines – around 300 original pieces, almost all unpublished. Materials that show the various censorships exercised by the Estado Novo for viewing at Avenida da Liberdade, 266 (in the Diário de Notícias building).

In this exhibition on censorship, part of the Abril em Lisboa program, a trip to the real country is proposed  – kept in a drawer in court bulletins and censorship reports  –, very different from the country of mild customs that the Estado Novo propaganda so well invented.
